Before we
get started.
What do I need to provide?
Your property details, existing instructions, photos you have permission to use and your local recommendations. We’ll use a questionnaire to fill in the gaps. You check the final instructions for accuracy before sharing with guests.
Do I need an existing guidebook account?
No. We’ll agree on the right setup with you before work starts. If you already use a guidebook platform, tell us which one. Any subscription or hosting costs will be explained separately.
Can guests download or print the guide?
Yes. The $349 CAD setup package includes a matching downloadable, print-ready PDF as well as the online guide and QR welcome card. Guests can save the PDF before travelling, and you can print it for the property. The PDF includes a last-updated date and QR code pointing to the online guide. Interactive features remain online.
Can you supply a printed welcome book?
Yes. Professionally printed and bound copies are an optional extra. We confirm the format, quantity, printing cost and shipping with you before placing an order. You can also print the included PDF yourself.
How long does it take?
We agree on a delivery date before you commit. Timing depends on the property, the material you provide and how quickly you can review the draft.
Can I update the guide afterwards?
Yes. You receive editable source content and a handover explaining how updates work in your chosen setup. Ongoing editing is quoted separately. When we update your guide, we regenerate the PDF too. Existing downloaded and printed copies need to be replaced.
Can you include door codes and private information?
We’ll discuss access protection before including sensitive details. Entry codes should be shared through an appropriate protected channel, rather than a public guide.
Is this connected to Airbnb?
Hosted Better is an independent service for vacation rental hosts. We’re not affiliated with or endorsed by Airbnb, Vrbo or any booking platform.
